David Belle was born on the 29th of April 1973 in Fecamb (Normandy, France). He had his childhood in Les Sables-d'Olonne, where he grow up with his grandfather, Gilbert Kitten. David Belle parkour pasion is because of his father. He taught him the Natural Method of George Hébert. David Belle applicated this method tho the city. The parkour was born with a young David Belle running very fast to the city, jumping and dodging obstacles like trees, banisters, railings, street lights, roofs... When he was 13 years old he got the Kung fu blackbelt in India.

When he was 15 years old, Belle moved out to Lisses (Evry, Paris area). There he met other young teenagers and they began to train with him and formed "the Yamakasi group". The following years the parkour philosophy was spread all arround the world. David Belle won the Olympic Games in swimming and gymnastics in 1991.

Now David Belle is a parkour instructor and an actor thanks to his parkour skills and his agility. In 2004 was the main actor in the film "Banlieue 13" (district 13) where he did some pakour scenes. He also acted in the second film of "Banlieue 13 (district 13 ultimatum) in 2008. Finally, he was the instructor of the parkour scenes of the film "Prince of Persia" in 2010. David Belle is the "Parkour father".
